Matt Orlich, Lin Da Wei join Vykarian to spearhead recruiting and training

SHANGHAI: Today Vykarian announced the addition of game industry veterans Matt Orlich and Ling Da Wei to their video game art outsourcing headquarters in Shanghai. The new team members represent Vykarian's commitment to excellence in overcoming the challenges related to building the highest quality game asset production studios in China.

In his role as Director of Training Matt will leverage his years of high profile, US-based game production and art training experience towards assembling the most highly trained, efficient, and creatively capable company of artists in China . Orlich adds: "The vision and strength of the VYK team in concert with the exploding outsourcing sector made my decision to move to Shanghai an easy one."

Lin will be joining the company as Resource Director, bringing his hard-won China game industry knowledge to bear on the issue of recruiting and maintaining the army of skilled talent that today's large-scale AAA game productions require. Lin Da Wei commented: "China has a great number of top-tier game artists. Through Vykarian we can provide the platform to showcase them to the world."

As a 7-year veteran of Electronics Arts and Virgin Interactive, Matt Orlich has deep insight into AAA game product development. After EA, he joined the Art Institute of Las Vegas where he designed and taught art production training courses to over 350 students a year. Orlich's mix business and production backgrounds enables him to understand how to match training objectives with customer expectations.

As a long-time 3D production artist at UBI Soft Shanghai, Lin Da Wei has cultivated a broad network of AAA-quality game development resource. As founder of a leading Shanghai game training school, he gained important insights into training game artists, as well as working with veterans to team them.
